A group of 15 or more students. Group visits are intended for high school students (grades 9–12), community-based organizations, and college access programs. If you are a school or organization with middle or elementary school aged students, we recommend contacting the Office of Community Engagement for helpful information on visiting campus. If you have a smaller group or a large family, please schedule a daily visit.

We can accommodate groups of up to 50 individuals, including students and chaperones. Larger groups may require special arrangements or may be asked to split across multiple visit dates.

Group visits are available on select weekdays between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Availability may be limited during peak times, so we encourage early requests.

Group visits typically include a 30-minute admissions presentation and a 60-minute walking tour led by a student ambassador. Custom programming may be available depending on group needs and staff availability.

Lunch is not provided by the Admissions Office. If your group would like to eat on campus, lunch options include bringing packed lunches, purchasing meals individually at Citizens Commons (cashless only), or the group purchasing lunch at Tower Dining (credit card required on site). If your group would like to eat at Tower Dining, meal cards are available for $13 each. Cards must be purchased by the group, we are unable to purchase cards on behalf of groups. More details on how to order cards for your group will be sent to you once your visit is confirmed.

Please submit your group visit request at least 6–8 weeks in advance. This allows us to coordinate staffing, space, and any special requests your group may have.

Absolutely. We welcome all guests and will work with you to ensure your visit meets any accessibility needs. Please note accommodations on your request form or contact us directly.

If visiting in a smaller vehicle, parking is available in the Vermont Street Parking Garage, which is attached to the IU Indianapolis Campus Center. Get directions on Google Maps. If visiting by bus, a campus visits team member will be in contact with more information about parking passes.
